Position: Network Security Analyst
Location: Remote
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 per year

Overview:
The primary role of the Network Security Analyst involves the vigilant monitoring, implementation, configuration, and management of the organization’s suite of security applications. This position requires collaboration with IT Operations engineers and management to ensure robust security measures are in place.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily monitoring of security tools, including firewalls, data encryption, and anti-malware systems.
  • Investigate and report security breaches, ensuring timely responses to violations.
  • Manage enterprise-wide security patching and updates.
  • Maintain adherence to the organization's cybersecurity strategy, including disaster recovery and penetration testing.
  • Continuously enhance security standards and best practices across the organization.
  • Identify and report potential risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Stay informed on the latest security trends and recommend improvements to the Security Engineer and IT Management.
  • Assist end-users and technicians in understanding and implementing new security products and procedures.
  • Conduct regular IT security audits as directed by management.
  • Participate in security incident management and prepare communications for internal stakeholders.
  • Document and analyze post-incident reviews to improve future responses.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT systems security.
  • Preferred certifications include CompTIA Security+, CISA, GIAC Security Essentials, or Certified Ethical Hacker.
  • Experience with Windows Server environments and virtualization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Active Directory and messaging systems.
  • Ability to manage systems via command line and scripting.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for endpoints, including computers and mobile devices.
  • Familiarity with compliance regulations such as HIPAA and PCI.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with all organizational levels.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is preferred.
