Shield HealthCare is currently seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our corporate office. This role is essential in safeguarding the organization’s cyber security and minimizing data risk exposure for our electronic information systems. The primary responsibilities include monitoring, implementing, configuring, and managing our suite of security applications, as well as ensuring that endpoints are up-to-date with system and security updates. Collaboration with IT Operations engineers and management will also be a key aspect of this position.

This position requires on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Become a subject matter expert on Shield HealthCare's existing information security tools through research and training.
  • Manage all security tools, including firewalls, data encryption, desktop security, server security, anti-malware, ransomware, MDM management, and DNS filtering; provide daily monitoring and reporting.
  • Monitor the network for security breaches, investigate violations, and report findings.
  • Execute timely and thorough security patch management across the enterprise.
  • Maintain adherence to Shield's cyber security plan, supporting regular disaster recovery and network penetration testing.
  • Continuously enhance security standards and best practices within the organization.
  • Identify and report potential risks or vulnerabilities, whether internal or external.
  • Stay informed on the latest security trends and recommend improvements to the Security Engineer and IT Management.
  • Assist technicians and end users in learning about or installing new security products and procedures.
  • Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc IT security audits as directed by IT management.
  • Participate in security incident management, preparing communications for distribution to IT Management and internal stakeholders.
  • Document postmortem reviews of security incidents and issues.
  • Provide best practice recommendations for procedural resolutions.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT systems security.
  • Preferred certifications in Information Security (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISA, GIAC Security Essentials, Certified Ethical Hacker).
  • Extensive experience with various Windows Server configurations in virtualized and high-availability environments.
  • Strong background in Microsoft Active Directory and messaging systems.
  • Proficient in command-line interface management and scripting.
  • Ability to perform essential troubleshooting on endpoints, including computers and mobile devices.
  • Experience with firewalls, routers, switches, data encryption, and security techniques for desktops and servers.
  • Familiarity with compliance protocols related to HIPAA, PCI compliance, and secure management of Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff at all levels.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent training is preferred.
