Position Summary

The Training Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the development and implementation of effective training programs within Electric Operations. This position is essential for ensuring that our training initiatives align with safety, reliability, and performance standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the execution of training and on-the-job (OJT) programs, ensuring they meet organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor Crew Leaders, Demonstrators, and Apprentices, promoting a high-performance culture.
  • Implement departmental policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the team, addressing employee feedback and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Oversee union-management relations, ensuring adherence to collective bargaining agreements.
  • Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation for training initiatives.
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of 4-7 years of experience in the utility sector, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a focus on fostering a high-performance environment.
  • Knowledge of safety guidelines and field processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
