Job Title: Director of Human Resources

Massman Construction Co. is seeking a visionary leader to lead and develop our HR department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for shaping the employee experience, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives, and ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, labor, and employment laws.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies that drive company growth and align with our overall business goals.
  • Talent Management: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Employee Relations: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, address employee concerns, and manage conflict resolution.
  • Performance Management: Design and manage performance appraisal systems to drive employee development and organizational success.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Oversee benefits programs and compensation strategies to ensure competitiveness and alignment with industry standards.
  • Training and Development: Create and oversee the implementation of employee training programs to enhance skills, promote career growth, and support leadership development.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • HR Policy Development: Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures as needed.
  • HR Metrics and Reporting: Track HR metrics, analyze trends, and provide reports to senior management to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS): Oversee advanced HRIS solutions to streamline HR operations, enhance data management, and support the organization's strategic goals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.
  • Broad understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and organizational development.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning and implementation of HR initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to influence and drive change.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Multi-market, union/non-union, and federal contract compliance experience preferred.
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR a plus.
