Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Asphalt/Paving Superintendent to oversee hot mix asphalt, curb, and concrete operations from start to finish. The successful candidate will ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead field teams and make critical decisions to achieve project success
  • Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure smooth project execution
  • Aggressively drive production, ensure employee safety, motivate and mentor employees, and deliver a quality product
  • Oversee construction operations, including hot mix asphalt, curb, and concrete
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
Requirements
  • A High School diploma and 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven leadership in asphalt paving and crew management
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the hot mix asphalt construction
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and contracts
  • Understanding of construction layouts and ability to shoot grades
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification (or ability to obtain prior to employment)
