Job Title: Automotive Service Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our team at Hinderer Motor Company.

Job Summary:

The Automotive Service Advisor will be responsible for building strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional service, and ensuring that our customers receive the best possible experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advises customers on necessary service for routine maintenance and identifies mechanical problems through questioning or visual inspection.
  • Confers with customers about inspection results, recommends corrective procedures, and prepares work orders for needed repairs.
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction standards and handles customer complaints in a professional manner.
  • Prepares repair orders showing time, cost, and labor estimates for service and explains the work performed and repair order charges to the customer.
  • Schedules service appointments and test drives vehicles with customers as needed to confirm problems or refer to test technicians.
  • Refers to service history, inspects vehicles, and recommends additional needed service to customers.
  • Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts and obtains customer's signature on repair order.
  • Establishes customer's method of payment and obtains credit approval if necessary.
  • Checks on progress of repair throughout the day and contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time.
  • Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional work and authorization is noted.
  • Ensures that vehicles are parked in assigned areas and makes sure they are locked and all keys are marked and put away correctly.
  • Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process and inspects all vehicles for body work.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and keeps work area clean and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete a background check inclusive of drug screening.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be eligible for auto insurance coverage under our company plan.
  • Must be able to satisfy I-9 requirements.
