Senior Advertising and Marketing Lawyer Position in Washington, D.C.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Advertising and Marketing Lawyer to join our prestigious international law firm in its Washington, D.C., office. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide expert legal counsel on sophisticated advertising and marketing law matters for high-profile clients in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
About the RoleThis is a senior-level position that requires at least seven years of relevant experience in advertising law, consumer protection, and marketing transactions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in drafting agreements, compliance counseling, and dispute resolution.
Key Responsibilities- Draft and negotiate complex advertising-related agreements, including influencer, celebrity endorsement, sponsorship, ad agency, and media buying contracts.
- Review advertising content to ensure compliance with laws related to false advertising, claim substantiation, intellectual property, and publicity rights.
- Counsel clients on compliance for contests, sweepstakes, subscription programs, and loyalty/rewards programs.
- Provide expert advice on consumer protection and marketing issues across diverse industries.
- Defend clients against allegations of false advertising, unfair competition, and other regulatory challenges.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in advertising law, consumer protection, and marketing transactions.
- Substantive knowledge of drafting agreements, compliance counseling, and dispute resolution.
- Active D.C. bar license or eligibility to waive in.
- Competitive annual salary range: $295,000 - $420,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
