Position Overview:
The Patient Services Associate role is pivotal in delivering outstanding service within a collaborative environment, focusing on all facets of patient-related business operations.

  • Schedule patient appointments efficiently.
  • Facilitate patient check-in processes.
  • Verify insurance details and handle authorizations.
  • Conduct pre-certifications and manage referrals.
  • Post charges accurately and assist with initial collections.
  • Ensure precise billing and maintain comprehensive medical records.

Depending on departmental needs, this role may also involve overseeing business services related to workers' compensation, commercial insurance, employee health, and corporate accounts. Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, may be necessary. Additional tasks may be assigned by the department Manager or Supervisor.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.

Experience:
  • Less than 1 year of experience in clerical or administrative roles is required.
  • Experience in insurance or customer service is preferred.

Additional Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of prior experience is preferred for Lee Health Solutions.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required within 90 days of hire at certain locations.
