Position Overview:

The role involves ensuring the seamless operation of various production machinery and executing equipment transitions as required.


Shift Details:

This position operates on the second shift from 2:45 PM to 11:00 PM, with weekend availability necessary. Initial training will occur on the first shift for a duration of two weeks.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Reload and troubleshoot tape machines, adhering to proper safety protocols.
  • Facilitate machine transitions between different packaging formats.
  • Optimize machinery settings for maximum production efficiency.
  • Inspect products for quality assurance, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Conduct quality assessments as directed by the Quality Assurance team or management.
  • Verify product specifications to ensure the correct packaging materials and accurate labeling.
  • Safely operate and resolve issues with elevators.
  • Maintain cleanliness of casers, elevators, and conveyors to uphold sanitary standards.
  • Document packaging codes as required.
  • Complete production documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist colleagues in the boxing department as needed.
  • Procure necessary packaging materials and utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) effectively.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Adapt to changes and manage unexpected situations effectively.
  • Adhere to company policies and utilize equipment responsibly.
  • Observe safety protocols and report any hazardous conditions.
  • Commit to continuous learning and skill development.
  • Maintain punctuality and reliability in attendance.

Supervisory Role:

This position does not include direct supervisory responsibilities.


Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties effectively. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.


Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with relevant experience or training.


Language Proficiency:

Ability to read and understand basic instructions and correspondence, as well as communicate effectively in small group settings.


Mathematical Competence:

Ability to perform basic calculations and apply fundamental mathematical concepts.


Reasoning Skills:

Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions and solve problems in standardized situations.


Technical Skills:

Basic computer skills and familiarity with Warehouse Management System software are essential.


Physical Requirements:

This role requires regular standing, walking, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Vision capabilities must include color perception and depth perception.


Work Environment:

Employees may encounter wet or humid conditions and varying noise levels, with hearing protection required in certain areas.
