About the Role

As a GCM Associate, you will play a key role in supporting our client teams in the origination, execution, and structuring of business transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the origination efforts of our client teams, evaluating new opportunities and executing deals for large-cap corporate clients in a global firm environment.
  • Partner with analysts, associates, and vice presidents to build financial models and prepare client presentations and final work products, including due diligence questionnaires, working group lists, and lender presentations.
  • Act as a key execution resource, working closely with internal partners to create client deliverables and respond to ad-hoc client requests for maximum impact.
  • Prepare recommendations on timing, size, and structure of business transactions and communicate findings to team members.
  • Perform industry and company research to support business development and ad-hoc requests.
  • Assist in coordinating and executing information in collaboration with industry/product groups.
  • Manage several projects at once while working effectively as an individual and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in investment banking, capital markets, or corporate banking, with a dedication to building a career in the investment banking industry.
  • MBA degree with outstanding academic qualifications preferred.
  • A track record of superior performance in extracurricular and professional activities.
  • Strong quantitative/analytical skills, attention to detail, and client focus.
  • Strategic and creative thinking skills; distinguished written and oral communications skills.
  • Demonstrates assertiveness, initiative, leadership, strong work ethic, with the ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibilities.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented – Manage and deliver high-quality, error-free work product on multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Prioritization/Time Management – Must work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented and flexible – Develop strong working relationships with internal and external partners.
