Job Title: Host/Hostess - Day and Evening

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Host/Hostess to join our team at Bethesda Group, LLC. As a Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for ensuring a positive dining experience for our residents, families, and guests. This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling, including day and evening shifts.

Responsibilities:

* Oversee meal service to residents, families, and guests, ensuring top-notch customer service from designated community staff
* Maintain quality plate presentation, prompt service, and cleanliness in the meal service areas throughout your shifts
* Assist Culinary Services Director with training and instruction on technical issues and policies and procedures relating to food service
* Ensure resident, family, and guest feedback is directed to community leadership
* Ensure all server pre-service and post-service work is successfully completed
* Assign sections and tables to Health Services staff to ensure all residents and guests are served in a timely manner
* Oversee the cleaning and preparation of the dining room and tables, ensuring they are set in restaurant-style dining appearance
* Reset tables, linens, and ensure condiments are filled and available
* Ensure drink stations and/or salad bars are set according to department policies and procedures
* Take orders for meals and ensure Health Services staff take orders from residents using excellent customer service skills
* Ensure drinks are filled according to residents/guests' requests and are kept filled as needed
* Serve and oversee the service of residents and guests to ensure their choices are met
* Manage all guest reservations, if necessary, and ensure the Private Dining Room is cleaned and set for reservations
* Ensure all cleaning checklists and cleaning responsibilities are completed per community policies and procedures
* Ensure all room trays are set up and delivered as needed
* Maintain confidentiality of residents' personal information and protect and support residents' rights
* Maintain a professional appearance by wearing clean, required uniform and a demeanor that encourages a positive nurturing environment for residents, families, vendors, and guests
* Maintain a positive customer service environment and practice honesty and integrity in all aspects of performance

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent
* Experience with food production and service, sanitation, and safety
* Previous supervisory experience is a plus

Working Environment/Physical Requirements:

* Moderate physical activity required by handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently
* Must be able to lift residents, with assistance, over 100 pounds
