Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and present event proposals that meet client requirements and deadlines.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and venues to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Plan event details, including venue selection, seating, dining, and guest lists.
  • Delegate event planning tasks to team members as needed.
  • Provide clients with expert knowledge of venues and vendor offerings, and conduct site tours as necessary.
  • Coordinate event entertainment, including music, performers, and guest speakers.
  • Manage event budgets and ensure timely payment processing and financial reporting.
  • Oversee event execution on the day of, including problem-solving, guest welcome, and vendor coordination.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective event advertisements and marketing materials.
  • Anticipate and plan for various event scenarios.
  • Identify sales opportunities for future events during client interactions and events.
  • Manage multiple events simultaneously.
Requirements
  • Organization and event planning experience.
  • Team management and time management skills.
  • Sales and marketing knowledge or previous experience.
  • Attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong client-facing skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of common reservation software and vendor research skills.
  • Initiative, enthusiasm, and flexibility.
  • Preferred: degree in event planning or marketing.
