Job Summary

The Student Success Advocate - Restorative Justice will play a vital role in supporting the school in infusing restorative practices into classrooms, discipline systems, and the culture of student, staff, and community interactions. This includes creating and supporting systems that reduce conflicts, strengthen relationships, and increase belonging and community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement programs to enhance and improve the academic, social, and emotional conditions of identified students.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, community agencies, school, and district stakeholders to identify, track, and monitor program effectiveness.
  • Facilitate and lead student-centered activities, prepare and present program-related documents and reports.
  • Participate in professional development for teachers, support in infusing practices into classrooms, running mediation programs, empowering students, and de-escalating conflict when it occurs.
  • Work closely with the assistant principal, counselor, and therapeutic intervention coach as an integral part of the school's social emotional support team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Social Work, or related field.
  • Two years of experience working with children and/or adolescents to affect positive academic, social, and/or emotional life-skills behaviors.
  • Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of the Bachelor's Degree on a year-for-year basis.
