**Job Summary**
MedStar Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Device Cardiac Arrhythmia Coordinator to join our dynamic Electrophysiology Lab team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating the operations of the MHVI Arrhythmia Device Clinic at a local and regional level.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee and direct activities of assigned personnel, making recommendations regarding hiring, salary adjustments, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Develop and maintain standards of care for patients with Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIED).
- Update, maintain, and manage patient device database using current and appropriate software, ensuring efficient electronic record keeping, FDA compliance, and workflow/clinic resource requirements.
- Coordinate the day-to-day patient flow in the Arrhythmia Center Device Clinic, adjusting schedules/patient appointments to meet changing priorities due to severity of patients' needs.
- Identify problems and recommend corrective action, evaluating patients' complaints and symptoms and consulting physicians for appropriate intervention when warranted.
- Coordinate patient throughput within the Device Clinic.
- Oversee patient billing, scheduling, and report generation for pacemaker/defibrillator clinic in a timely manner, determining best billing practices for the device clinic.
**Requirements**
- Associate's degree in Nursing required.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3 or more years of progressively responsible job-related experience required.
- Active DC RN License required.
- International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) certification within 2 years preferred.
