Position Title:
Lead Automation Engineer

Position Overview

This established material handling organization is in search of a senior-level automation engineer to enhance their engineering team.

The successful candidate will be tasked with developing code from the ground up, designing electrical schematics, and guiding a small group of Automation Engineers.


This position entails considerable project oversight responsibilities, with an emphasis on improving client satisfaction by internalizing previously outsourced automation tasks.

Flexible working hours are available, including the option to work remotely when arranged in advance.

Travel Requirements:
30% travel is expected, typically for a few days at a time, with weekends spent at home.


The organization has historically outsourced its automation functions and is now focused on internalizing these processes by adding both senior and intermediate automation engineers to their workforce.

Essential Qualifications

- Proficiency in PLC programming from the ground up (including but not limited to AB, Siemens, Omron, Rockwell, Mitsubishi)

- Experience in electrical design utilizing AutoCAD Electrical

- Strong customer interaction skills

Work Environment

This position is primarily on-site. However, some remote work flexibility is permitted if communicated in advance.
