Job Overview

Axis Automation is seeking a skilled Automation Engineer - Proposal Specialist to join our team of experienced engineers and machine builders. As a key member of our process engineering department, you will be responsible for configuring manufacturing system proposals and supporting the Axis team through the deployment of awarded solutions.

The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing/industrial automation or a related field, with knowledge of project budgeting, custom automated equipment, and manufacturing processes & equipment. They will also possess strong systems engineering skills, including controls, mechanical, industrial, and weld.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package with no waiting period and a competitive salary range of $70,000-$120,000/yr.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure manufacturing system proposals and support the Axis team through the deployment of awarded solutions
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, integrate, and deploy factory automation systems
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in automation technology
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering-related field or comparable field experience in similar role with exposure to industrial automation systems
  • Experience with project management, budgeting, quoting, or similar responsibilities within relevant industry
  • Strong communication and technical skills, with ability to speak confidently in front of groups
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word)
  • Familiarity with automated processes and equipment (Assembly, Welding, Adhesive, Machining, etc.)
  • Familiarity with CAD/3D modeling, or viewing software
