Position Overview
As the Senior Living Executive Leader, you will manage and guide department coordinators and their respective programs. You will ensure adherence to federal and state regulations as well as the company’s policies and procedures. In this role, you will collaborate with the team to inspire and assist residents in Living Life On Purpose by emphasizing the 4 Pillars: Physical Fitness, Brain Fitness, Dining Experience, and Social/Spiritual Enrichment. The Executive Leader embodies the Mission, Values, and Principles of Service every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for preparing, managing, and exceeding income and capital expenditure budgets.
- Strives for 100% occupancy with a waitlist.
- Ensures all sales and marketing objectives are met; conducts weekly sales meetings with the Sales Director.
- Supervises all department coordinators to guarantee compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Facilitates positive communication with key family members every 60 days.
- Responds to all family inquiries promptly.
- Participates in training and seminars to stay updated on regulatory requirements and best practices in assisted living and memory care.
- Collaborates with the Director of Operations to address site deficiencies and identify potential risks.
- Leads the hiring process for the community, including interviewing and selecting department managers and pre-approving all team member hires.
- Engages with residents to understand their social histories.
- Promotes hospitality and delivers exceptional customer service to residents, families, visitors, and vendors.
- Cultivates a positive work environment that fosters team member engagement and retention.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 3+ years of management experience.
- Experience working with older adults in senior living, long-term care, home health, or other healthcare settings preferred. Alternatively, a demonstrated ability or strong desire to engage with residents with dementia.
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy for the challenges faced by residents, families, and team members, along with problem-solving skills to support them.
- Proficient computer skills and ability to engage with various electronic devices.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule.
