Position Overview
The successful applicant will be a CPA with substantial expertise in financial reporting and accounting within the oil and gas industry. Experience in public accounting, especially with auditing oil and gas clients, is highly valued.

This role entails collaboration with a team of four experienced oil and gas accountants and direct reporting to the CFO.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Manage cash flow
  • Oversee debt obligations
  • Review and approve journal entries
  • Lead external audit processes
  • Conduct financial analysis

Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP; CPA designation preferred
  • Direct experience in the oil and gas sector is essential (minimum experience with audited exploration and production clients)
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience
  • Robust accounting skills
  • Enthusiasm for learning about various business aspects
  • Willingness to mentor colleagues
