Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Northwell Health. As an MRI Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures, preparing patients for exams, and ensuring accurate and safe administration of contrast agents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI procedures, including abdominal, thoracic, and neurological exams
  • Prepare patients for exams, including explaining procedures and setting up equipment
  • Administer intravenous (IV) and oral contrast agents as per Radiologist order
  • Verify patient history data and other pertinent information obtained from requisitions
  • Recognize and assist in the treatment of contrast agent reactions and IV extravasations
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist with certification in IV contrast administration
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging R.T. (MR) (ARRT) certification within 18 months of entry date
  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS)
Shift Details

Wednesday/other days as needed; 9am-5:30pm (Per Diem)
