Job Summary:

Satellite Industries is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the development and improvement of Vacuum Tank trucks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and objectives.
  • Develop conceptual designs for Vacuum Tank truck components and systems, considering factors such as functionality, manufacturability, cost, and performance.
  • Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) to create detailed design drawings and specifications.
  • Prototype and test design concepts to evaluate feasibility and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components for prototype and production builds.
  • Support manufacturing and assembly processes by providing detailed design documentation and resolving engineering issues as they arise.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in the automotive, heavy equipment, vacuum tank truck, or transportation industries.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and FEA analysis tools.
  • Experience with designing welded structures, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems is desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., DOT regulations, ASME codes, OSHA regulations) is a plus.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
