Job Opportunity: Generative AI and ML Engineer, Lead

The Challenge:

As a seasoned software engineer or data scientist, you're aware of the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Natural Language Processing (NLP) in understanding and processing vast datasets. We're seeking your expertise to identify and develop opportunities for the use of AI, ML, and Large Language Models (LLMs) to solve real-world business and operational problems, driving the adoption of GenAI solutions that address various mission needs.

Your Role:

You'll collaborate with a large community of ML engineers across the firm, working with data engineers, data scientists, solutions architects, systems engineers, and product owners to deliver world-class solutions. Your advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise will guide internal strategy and clients as they navigate the landscape of GenAI models, tools, and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop core technical capabilities that can lead to large impact across strategic clients and their customers.
  • Operationalize ML applications and architect agentic workflows and multi-agent systems with LLMs.
  • Manage or lead high-performing Agile teams and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.
  • Distill complex technical concepts into easily understood summaries consumable by business leaders with a non-technical background.
  • Obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Generative AI, including transformers or LLM project work.
  • Experience with frameworks, including Huggingface, LangChain, or GPT.
  • Experience finetuning LLMs and designing API.
  • Experience with methods for testing, evaluating, and governing ML models.
  • Experience with Human In The Loop (HITL) systems and ML explainability metrics.

Compensation:

The projected compensation range for this position is $125,600.00 to $285,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
