Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Junior Chief of Staff to join our team in our Bethesda, MD office. This role will support our Chief Executive Officer, combining traditional support responsibilities with project management tasks to ensure effective support is provided to our CEO.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the CEO in the execution of priorities and activities, ensuring the smooth functioning of the CEO's office.
  • Project Management:
    • Track progress on various ongoing projects, analyze priorities, and provide insights to drive efficiency.
    • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to arrange working sessions, and ensure project goals are met.
    • Monitor key performance indicators to improve team performance.
    • Prepare and update presentations.
  • Stakeholders Communication:
    • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding project updates and timelines, ensuring clear and effective communication on behalf of the CEO.
    • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to address project-related inquiries and provide status updates.
    • Filter information, prioritize messages, and ensure efficient flow of communication.
    • Initiate, plan, and coordinate outreach for meetings and projects.
  • Meeting Coordination:
    • Manage the CEO's calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate logistics for important events.
    • Prepare meeting agendas.
    • Plan executive team events.
  • Information Management:
    • Conduct research, prepare reports, and gather data to support decision-making processes.
  • Foster collaboration and coordination among stakeholders and address challenges and obstacles effectively, offering solutions and support.
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.
Requirements
  • 5-8 years of experience in a role requiring organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Strong networking skills to build relationships with key stakeholders and represent the CEO effectively.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations, identify key issues, and develop effective solutions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • A strategic mindset to contribute to the long-term success and growth of the organization.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships.
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving and shifting priorities and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and find innovative solutions.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information and discussions.
  • Paralegal experience or certification would be a plus.
