Job Title: Acute Medical Progressive Care Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Acute Medical and Progressive Care unit (D6/5) at University Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in acute care nursing, with experience in IMC and a passion for delivering patient-centered care. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure seamless transitions of care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care in the Acute Medical and Progressive Care unit (D6/5)
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless transitions of care
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to patient care planning
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Requirements:
  • Current WI nursing license or compact license from permanent address state
  • 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years
  • IMC experience required; ICU experience considered
  • Transplant and trach experience required
  • Basic Arrhythmia experience required; must pass UW Health Telemetry test prior to start
