About the Role:

The Sales Development Representative is a key member of the GFL Environmental team, responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding our commercial and industrial customer base. This role involves engaging with new and existing customers to identify business opportunities and develop strategic relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire new revenue growth by generating outbound calls and emails to new B2B prospects for permanent commercial and industrial customers.
  • Effectively respond to inbound calls and emails to close high percentage of business and drive price and term.
  • Complete all required paperwork and other miscellaneous reports.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of GFL Environmental's available services, lines of business, pricing structures, and offers additional services as appropriate to existing customers.
  • Utilize prospecting and retention customer database while scheduling and documenting all activities.
  • Daily phone blocking to achieve required activity standards.
  • Responsible for achieving and/or exceeding monthly growth quota.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • One (1) or more years of sales and/or customer service experience.
  • Microsoft Office experience.

  • Ability to generate and manage leads, opportunities, and contract negotiations.
  • Effective influential, selling, and closing skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
