Job Summary:
The Lead Cashier Part Time Representative is responsible for generating maximum sales potential through upholding high customer service standards, maintaining store appearance, keeping merchandise filled to the appropriate levels on the sales floor and minimizing shortages. This role has a limited level of authority to conduct specific management register functions to assist store management on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maximize Sales Volume: Ensure that sales are maximized through effective customer service and sales techniques.
- Maintain Visual Presentation Standards: Maintain store appearance to reflect the company's visual presentation standards.
- Develop Sales Associates: Assist in recruiting, training, and developing sales associates to meet sales goals and objectives.
- Operational Efficiency: Develop proficiency in all operational policies and procedures, and manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Customer Service: Ensure customer service is the top priority, and effectively oversee the cash register area to ensure customer/associate awareness at all times.
- Leadership: Motivate and develop associates to meet goals and objectives, demonstrate teamwork within the store and company, and take initiative and use sound judgment.
- Personnel Management: Demonstrate professional image and conduct, follow specific divisional dress code policy, and work as a member of a team to accomplish goals set forth in the store.
- Operations: Execute specific management-level cash register functions per policy, and ensure accuracy in all paperwork.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous retail experience preferred.
- Skills: Excellent customer service skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in cash handling and operations.
