As a Radiation Therapist at our esteemed dermatology center, you will be instrumental in delivering accurate and effective radiation therapies for various skin-related conditions. Your role involves administering therapeutic radiation treatments to patients, collaborating closely with dermatologists and radiation oncologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your meticulous approach and commitment to patient safety will be paramount in providing exceptional care in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Uphold the mission and values of Riverchase Dermatology, ensuring outstanding service delivery at all times. Operate under the guidance of the Radiation Oncologist. Clearly communicate treatment plans to patients and address any inquiries regarding their care. Adhere to safety protocols to safeguard both patients and staff from radiation exposure; routinely inspect equipment for safety and functionality. Verify computer systems to ensure accurate radiation dosing to designated areas of the patient's body. Administer prescribed radiation doses with precision, positioning patients according to treatment plans and operating therapy equipment in accordance with established standards. Review patient prescriptions, diagnoses, charts, and identification thoroughly. Monitor patients for any adverse reactions during treatment. Maintain detailed treatment records in the patients' electronic health records (EHR), schedule appointments, and assist the Chief Radiation Therapist as needed. Collaborate effectively within a team to achieve shared objectives in a professional manner. Engage in continuous professional development and training to remain informed about advancements in radiation therapy and dermatological practices.Required Qualifications
Valid certification/licensure as a Radiation Therapist. Comprehensive knowledge of radiation therapy techniques, equipment, and safety measures. Strong attention to detail to ensure precise measurements. Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and colleagues. Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.-
