Role Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Nuclear Medicine Specialist, you will prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and conduct imaging procedures utilizing advanced radiation detection technology. You will deliver critical images and data analysis to physicians for diagnostic evaluation, serving a diverse patient demographic from infants to seniors.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering care tailored to the patient's condition and age.
  • Preparing radiopharmaceutical stock solutions and related materials.
  • Maintaining aseptic techniques throughout all procedures.
  • Adhering to departmental policies and procedures within the scope of practice.
  • Implementing infection control measures specific to the department.
  • Accurately documenting all required information immediately following each procedure.
Required Qualifications
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • An Associate Degree in a relevant field.
  • Certification as a Registered Radiographer (ARRT) or as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB).
