Position Summary

The Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a vital role in managing the complete accounts receivable cycle. This position collaborates closely with management levels, including Unit Managers and Regional Directors, to ensure timely invoice payments and minimize uncollectible accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the collection of accounts receivable through effective communication channels.
  • Coordinate with operations to gather opening costs and client deposits.
  • Verify and input accounts receivable data from contracts into the SAP system.
  • Monitor repayment plans for specific units.
  • Maintain and update various Excel spreadsheets.
  • Assist in processing account receivable payments as needed.
  • Initiate refund requests for credit balances.
  • Perform necessary maintenance within the SAP Accounts Receivable system.
  • Collaborate with operations regarding uncollectible accounts.
  • Provide accounts receivable information to field staff upon request.
  • Assist with billing reconciliations and related tasks.
  • Work closely with the accounting team on accounts receivable matters.
  • Support the preparation of journal entries as required.
  • Participate in special projects and additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Accounting or Business with a focus on accounting.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Credit Accounting, preferably in a customer-centric environment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Excel and capable of working under tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with a quick learning ability.
  • Experience with SAP is advantageous.
  • Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with associates and management.
