POSITION SUMMARY:

The Compensation Specialist will be responsible for executing all payroll-related functions. This encompasses payroll processing, tax documentation, and benefits administration, while ensuring the confidentiality of employee information. The role requires addressing payroll inquiries and fulfilling additional responsibilities necessary for the effective management of the payroll system.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Payroll Manager in overseeing and executing employee compensation.
  • Gather and verify employee time records for precision.
  • Calculate, input, and manage data within the payroll system.
  • Update and preserve payroll information in the software.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of employee compensation details.
  • Adhere to deadlines in high-pressure situations.
  • Maintain precise records of payroll transactions and reports.
  • Identify discrepancies and propose enhancements to the payroll process.
  • Monitor Workers' Compensation classifications.
  • Prepare and disseminate reports as required.
  • Conduct filing duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing is essential.
  • Familiarity with UKG and Paychex payroll systems is necessary.
  • Comprehensive understanding of compliance standards and payroll regulations.
  • Advanced computer skills and technological proficiency.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in data entry tasks.
  • Strong clerical, administrative, and general office capabilities.
  • Excellent numerical and memory skills.
  • Effective organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal collaboration.
  • Able to maintain prolonged periods of computer use.
  • Team-oriented, willing to assist with Accounting Department initiatives during slower periods.
