Duration: 1+ months (temporary to permanent)
Compensation: $20/Hour on W2
Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of this role is to uphold the cleanliness and sanitary standards of the facility while also providing support in various operational roles within the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
1.) Conduct routine cleaning of floors, machinery, roofs, and external areas.
2.) Perform specialized cleaning tasks including bin cleanings, rebolting sifters, and changing filter socks.
3.) Execute additional duties as assigned by management.
4.) Carry out basic maintenance tasks as required.
5.) Acquire cross-training in at least two different operational roles.
6.) Adhere to all safety protocols regarding personnel and equipment; comply with sanitation policies and all relevant Business Unit procedures.
- Ascend and descend stairs throughout the facility.
9.) Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE).
10.) Follow both verbal and written instructions in English.
11.)
Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors in English.
Physical Demands:
This role involves climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and vision.
Working Environment:
The position may require working in various conditions, including extreme temperatures, noise, and other environmental hazards.
Physical Activity Level:
Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
Light: Exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and/or 10 lbs. of force frequently.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
A.) Willingness to work additional hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
B.) Proficient communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
C.) Ability to accept accountability and collaborate effectively within a team.
Daily Responsibilities:
Key tasks include maintaining plant sanitation and performing bin cleaning.
Team Overview:
This role is part of the Mill and Elevator department.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a manufacturing setting, reliability, capability to work in a dusty environment, and the ability to lift between 25-50 lbs.
Disqualifiers:
Candidates should not be afraid of heights, uncomfortable in dusty environments, or unable to work in high heat conditions.
Interview Process:
Candidates will be reviewed and interviewed promptly.
Typical Workday:
The daily workload primarily consists of cleaning tasks.
Expectations:
Candidates are expected to arrive on time, work diligently, and follow instructions accurately.
Potential for Extension:
There is a possibility for this role to be extended, with opportunities for full-time employment.
