Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and resolve inefficiencies and constraints in production processes, focusing on both procedures and equipment.
  • Engage frequently on the production floor with manufacturing and engineering teams to conduct audits and address issues.
  • Proactively improve the reliability and efficiency of wafer processing and equipment systems, including procedures and training materials.
  • Foster a culture of quality within wafer processing and equipment engineering teams.
  • Facilitate process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Collaborate with Failure Analysis and yield engineering teams to ensure high-quality wafer output.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or a master's degree with at least 2 years of experience in wafer fabrication engineering, specifically in magnetic head, CMOS, or similar complex products.

Strong knowledge of the integrated process flow from wafer initiation to completion is highly preferred.

Demonstrated project leadership skills to coordinate and drive actions across cross-functional teams.

Compensation within the salary range may be influenced by various factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, and experience.

This salary range reflects our belief in the potential compensation for this role at the time of posting.

Eligible employees may participate in Western Digital's Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which offers incentive awards based on both company and individual performance.
