We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Archer. As a key member of our Quality Management department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Quality Systems: Support the deployment of policies, procedures, and standards for Supplier Quality Management that meet AS9100 and FAA requirements.
- Conduct Supplier Audits: Perform supplier quality system initial audits and surveillance audits as required, and assist in the development of supplier scorecard criteria.
- Drive Supplier Improvement: Utilize Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP/PPAP/AS9145), Six Sigma, and Lean concepts to monitor key characteristics, drive predictable supplier performance, and implement supplier improvement initiatives.
- Implement IT Systems: Participate in the setup of IT systems to support AS9100 process execution, including supplier portal, Approved Supplier/Vendor List (ASL/AVL), dock-to-stock program, non-conforming material and Return to Vendor (RTV) process, Supplier Corrective Action Report (SCAR), supplier performance reporting, and receiving inspection plans and inspection results.
- Ensure Conformity and Performance: Ensure conformity of products provided by the supply base, monitor and address deficiencies in Supplier Performance, and ensure that disposition of nonconforming material is handled in a timely manner to support internal MRB processes.
- Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM field of study; Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in Quality/Operations/Supply chain management, with expertise in AS9100 / FAA/NADCAP compliant Quality systems.
- Skills: Working knowledge of Quality tools such as PFMEA, DFMEA, GR&R, GD&T elements, and experience with eliminating non-conformances at the supplier level through the use of 8D.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with Quality Standards such as AS9145 and AS9134, and Quality Assurance Processes and New Product Development approval process APQP/PPAP.
- Analytical and Communication Skills: Effective at performing data analysis using software such as Excel, Tableau, MiniTab, and possessing effective communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
We offer a competitive salary range of $130,000 - $150,000, based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company's business strategy.
