Position InformationThe Respiratory Therapist Team Leader is responsible for the clinical and technical leadership of the Respiratory Care staff. This role ensures effective daily operation and oversees the administration of respiratory care under a physician's order, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, intubation, arterial puncture, and analysis, as well as mechanical ventilation of adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.
The RT Team Leader plans, implements, and evaluates the effectiveness of therapy, ensuring completion of age-specific competencies. This role understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission, values, and management of patient care services.
Experience RequirementsClinical experience in Respiratory Therapy and Emergency/Trauma is required.
Education RequirementsAn Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy is required.
Licensure/Certification RequirementsA Registered Respiratory Therapist and NC Respiratory Care Practitioner certification are required.
Work ScheduleThis role requires a 7pm-7am work schedule.
Weekend and Call RequirementsThis role requires working every other weekend and includes call requirements.
