Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual screening, assessment, and case management services to clients, demonstrating a strong understanding of best practice principles.
  • Initiate and engage clients in an intake process, including orientation to treatment, enrollment, and documentation, in accordance with Suncoast Center's policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with various systems of care, including behavioral health, primary care, peer and natural supports, housing, education, vocation, and the justice system, to ensure holistic service coordination.
  • Act as a clinical resource for community partners, attending weekly meetings to review barriers and gaps in services.
  • Provide on-call crisis intervention services, covering nighttime and weekend hours as requested, and demonstrate flexibility in support of the overall mission of the PIC Team Program.
  • Support and promote a culturally sensitive recovery-based philosophy, striving to create a treatment environment that supports client efforts to optimize functioning through recovery.
  • Identify individuals who require risk assessment and intervention, providing appropriate responses to level of risk, and effectively manage crisis situations and other emergency situations.
  • Complete progress notes accurately and completely within 24 hours of providing service.
  • Assist clients in living independently in the community by providing services such as transportation, advocacy, assistance obtaining benefits and medications, and attending psychiatric appointments and other needs as they arise.
  • Meet productivity standards and participate fully in bi-weekly supervision with program manager, reviewing treatment techniques, case progress, and job performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a social services or behavioral health field from an accredited institution.
  • Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) certification preferred.
  • Experience working with adults in need of mental health services and their families, with experience providing clinical services to forensic clients preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age, have a valid Florida Driver's License, and pass a background check and drug screening.
Working Conditions

Requires both indoor and outdoor work with outreach to off-site locations, with exposure to extreme heat and humidity during the summer months. Schedule may be irregular and include evenings.
