Job Summary

The Community Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Curriculum and Coaching to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a research-based curriculum that aligns with state standards and promotes equity and inclusion. You will work closely with Program Managers and Directors to provide instructional support, coaching, and mentoring to early childhood educators, with a focus on improving student learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a research-based curriculum that aligns with state standards and promotes equity and inclusion.
  • Provide instructional support, coaching, and mentoring to early childhood educators, with a focus on improving student learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers and Directors to plan and implement effective, research-based instructional strategies.
  • Co-observe classroom instruction and provide constructive feedback to improve teaching practices.
  • Assist Program Managers and Directors in supporting teachers with differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students, including those with special needs and English Language Learners (ELL).
  • Support Program Managers and Directors in supporting teachers to use assessment data to guide instruction and improve student learning outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Program Managers, Directors, Teachers, and families to support a collaborative learning environment.
Requirements
  • Minimum BA in education or related field (required)
  • Masters in Education or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years as a Director or Coach (required)
  • Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) Director II certification/qualification (required)
  • Preferred Bi-Lingual (Spanish)
  • Experience creating and implementing a research-based curriculum
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships
  • Knowledge of Learning Standards and Curriculum Guidelines
  • In-depth knowledge of current trends, challenges, and opportunities in the field of education
  • Ability to prioritize and take initiative and multitask
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Strong technology skills and demonstrated expertise in a variety of word processing, desktop publishing, graphics, spreadsheet, and database software
  • An eagerness to learn new skills and take on new projects
