Advanced Heart Failure Specialist

At the University of Utah, we are seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our Cardiovascular Specialty Division within the Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Group.
About the Role:- We collaborate with cardiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare specialists to provide comprehensive care to patients with advanced heart failure or those awaiting transplantation.
- Our team orders medications and procedures within their scope of practice, ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- We develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
- Our provider will provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to manage their conditions effectively.
- Pursuing ongoing professional development is crucial in staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in cardiology and transplant medicine.
Requirements:
- A master's degree in nursing or a related field, such as a Master's in Physician Assistant Studies.
- Current certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
- At least 2 years of experience working in an outpatient or inpatient setting, preferably in cardiovascular specialty division.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound clinical judgments.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and other healthcare technologies.
