Job Summary
Atrium Health seeks a Registered Nurse to serve as a Healthcare Advocate and Holistic Care Specialist. This role is responsible for providing holistic health care to individuals within the faith community and facilitating communication between healthcare providers and clients.
Responsibilities
- Serves as a health educator, advocating for the congregation's physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
- Counsels congregants, parish team members, and community members on personal health matters.
- Coordinates volunteers and facilitates support groups, creating a safe space for sharing and growth.
- Navigates complex healthcare systems, advocating for clients' needs and connecting them with resources.
- Maintains accurate records and statistical data to document Faith Community Nurse functions.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; Bachelor's of Nursing preferred.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse by the North Carolina State Board of Nursing required.
- 5 years clinical experience required.
- Completion of Foundations of Faith Community Nursing course within 6 months of start date required.
- Familiarity with major trends in holistic health care and ability to articulate its principles effectively.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. Atrium Health also provides comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
