As a Clinical Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in our Bone and Joint Institute, providing essential clinical assistance to both patients and healthcare providers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Communicating vital clinical information to patients and stakeholders.
  • Scheduling diagnostic tests and consultations efficiently.
  • Collecting clinical specimens and assessing patient needs.
  • Performing essential clinical office procedures.
  • Maintaining adequate clinical supplies to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

Education:
High school diploma is required.
Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment or possess a current LPN license.

Experience:
Preferred one year of experience in a medical office setting.

Skills:
Proficiency in using medical equipment such as glucometers, blood pressure cuffs, thermometers, and computers. Competence in administering various medications and performing clinical tasks is essential.

Work Environment:
This position is based in an office environment, requiring the ability to sit, stand, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Physical capability to lift over 20 pounds is necessary.

Performance Expectations:
Accurate documentation of patient medical histories and vital signs is crucial. Responsibilities include administering immunizations, counseling patients on health matters, coordinating referrals, and ensuring quality assurance in office lab procedures.
