Job Summary

The Center for Spatial Analysis is seeking a skilled GIS Project Developer to support the development and maintenance of geospatial applications and projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in GIS technology and experience with Esri products, including Arcade, Python (ArcPy), and ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain complex geographic datasets and GIS web applications.
  • Collect and analyze data to make geospatial decisions.
  • Perform standard spatial analyses.
  • Develop custom geospatial solutions and applications for projects.
  • Manage project timelines and provide status reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 24 months of technical experience in GIS development, use, and operations.
  • Proficiency in Esri products, including Arcade, Python (ArcPy), and ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in custom geospatial application development, grant writing, higher education, or government.
  • Professional-level expertise in geographic reasoning, geospatial technologies, and database programs.
