Job Summary

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Representative II to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Provide professional and caring service to patients, families, and visitors, ensuring a positive experience in our office.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and confirm appointments, obtain authorization and pre-certification, and document referrals and no-shows.
  • Medical Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including filing, scanning, and retrieving documents as needed.
  • Financial Transactions: Register patients, collect payments, post charges, and provide receipts, ensuring accurate financial transactions and cash reconciliation.
  • Supply Management: Order and maintain inventory of supplies and forms, ensuring a well-stocked office environment.
  • Communication: Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers in a professional and respectful manner.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 2 years minimum medical experience, with preference for clerical experience in a physician's office and EPIC experience.
  • Skills: Computer/typing skills required, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and EPIC.
