As a Senior Engineer, you will engage in the planning and design of various transportation and public works initiatives, including highways, interchanges, airports, and public utility systems. Your role will encompass the design and execution of projects while mentoring our talented staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver design and project management services, focusing on public sector clients.
  • Prepare comprehensive design calculations, reports, and technical documentation in a clear and visually appealing format.
  • Engage with clients and agency personnel to uphold Wood Rodgers' standards of care and exceptional service.
  • Facilitate public interactions through workshops, presentations, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Comprehend public sector requirements, federal guidelines, and agency policies.
  • Collaborate with project teams to lead, mentor, and execute projects, ensuring adherence to budgets and deadlines.
  • Contribute positively to our vibrant office culture.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Possession of a Nevada Professional Engineering (PE) License, or the ability to obtain it within six months of employment; California and Nevada PE preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and other design software.
  • Strong understanding of agency design standards, both local and federal.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and presenting technical information.
  • Experience in construction and fieldwork related to highway, roadway, or airport projects.
  • Prior project management experience in transportation or public works projects.
