Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Project Engineer Lead to join our team in Juno Beach, FL. As a key member of our Engineering & Construction Business Unit, you will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and managing internal projects from initiation through completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead substation projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success, including engineering, procurement, and construction.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and changes, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to project team members, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders, including transmission owners, operators, and ISOs, to ensure project deliverables meet specific requirements.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, and ensure accurate tracking of project expenses.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including project sponsors, customers, and vendors.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve project delivery and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • 2+ years' experience in substation design and engineering, with a strong bias for action.
  • Project engineering and/or project management experience, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong technical skills, including knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
