Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The role of Facility Operations and Transportation Supervisor is essential in ensuring a secure and efficient working environment. This position involves executing minor repairs and preventative upkeep on all premises, grounds, and equipment. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for operating Club vehicles along designated routes, adhering to scheduled times, and safely transporting members to and from various locations, including special events and field trips.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Facility Management

  • Oversee, evaluate, and inspect the work of contracted vendors to guarantee quality and timely completion of tasks using operational management software.
  • Act as the primary contact for security systems at the designated facility.
  • Ensure the upkeep of facilities, including floors, doors, windows, and roofs, by performing basic maintenance tasks.
  • Manage the facilities budget to maintain clean, safe, and functional environments.
  • Adhere to and promote safety standards in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the collection and delivery of supplies and donated items.
  • Maintain productive relationships with vendors, addressing concerns and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Monitor the work environment and ensure the proper use of safety equipment to protect employees and visitors.
  • Guide the maintenance team on equipment handling, asset management, and preventative maintenance practices.
  • Respond to and complete all maintenance requests in the operations management system.
  • Perform custodial duties, including cleaning and disinfecting facilities, maintaining restrooms, and ensuring kitchen cleanliness.
  • Address emergency situations to prevent injuries and hazardous conditions.
  • Set up and dismantle equipment for events and meetings.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Transportation Duties

  • Coordinate transportation paperwork to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain Club vehicles in safe operating condition through daily inspections and necessary maintenance.
  • Supervise other drivers, ensuring adherence to schedules and paperwork requirements.
  • Ensure all drivers maintain valid licenses and necessary endorsements.
  • Keep records of vehicle maintenance, mileage, and passenger counts.
  • Assist members with evacuation procedures as needed.
  • Maintain order and discipline among members during transportation.
  • Participate in team efforts to deliver quality programs and services.
  • Engage in training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Attend staff meetings and training events as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 25 with a valid Class B driver's license.
  • Passenger & Youth Bus Endorsement and valid Medical Card.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • At least two years of combined experience in facility maintenance and transportation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Pass a criminal background check and mandatory drug tests.
  • Knowledge of basic maintenance and plumbing.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Understanding of vehicle operation regulations.
  • Adept at training others in safe equipment use.
  • Capable of preparing reports and maintenance logs.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices.
  • Ability to effectively manage relationships with members and parents.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Travel between various sites and community locations is required.
  • Hours may vary based on school schedules and events, including evenings and weekends.
