The Monitor/Aide plays a critical role in this effort, providing operational oversight and assisting drivers in safe route operation. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage high levels of stress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor passenger welfare and communicate with drivers regarding behavior problems and stop conditions
  • Assist with pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus
  • Cooperate with school personnel, students, and parents to ensure a positive experience
  • Attend safety and training meetings to stay up-to-date on industry best practices
