Real Estate Development Internship Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Real Estate Development Intern to join our team at Provident General Contractors. As a key member of our development team, you will assist in coordinating real estate development project tasks, conduct research, and provide support with due diligence work, market surveys, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in coordinating real estate development project tasks, including coordinating with stakeholders, conducting site visits, and analyzing market trends.
  • Conduct research on company, property, and industry-specific topics, including market analysis, competitor research, and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with due diligence work, including reviewing financial statements, conducting environmental assessments, and evaluating entitlements.
  • Provide support with market surveys, proposal reviews, and summaries, as well as financial analysis and pro forma modeling.
  • Assist with identifying site acquisitions, arranging for due diligence evaluations, and coordinating local government review and approval processes.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget constraints.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate-level college student pursuing a degree in Real Estate Development, Finance, Economics, Community Development, or a related field.
  • A basic understanding of financial modeling and analysis commonly used in acquisition work, and general knowledge of relevant accounting principles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and real estate databases.
  • Coachable, driven, and eager to learn, with strong analytical, problem-solving, strategic planning, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
