Position Overview

Ecolab is on the lookout for a Senior SAP Solutions Architect who possesses extensive knowledge of SAP S4 and ECC frameworks, along with a strong grasp of ERP-related end-to-end business workflows, particularly in the domains of Make to Deploy, Plan to Deliver, and Supply Chain Management. This role demands a seasoned professional who can architect SAP/ERP solutions, effectively translating enhancements in business processes into functional SAP applications. The selected candidate will engage with various cross-functional teams, including Ecolab's business solutions group, integration specialists, data analysts, application developers, enterprise architects, systems integrators, software vendors, and business leaders, as well as subject matter experts. This position is pivotal in the S4 transformation initiative, overseeing platform solutions to ensure optimal and high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee SAP S4 and ECC solutions related to supply chain and logistics, encompassing Production Planning (PP), Inventory Management (IM), Materials Management (MM), Quality Management (QM), and Sales & Distribution (SD) modules.
  • Proactively guide the organization through SAP S4/ERP transformation and optimization efforts, focusing on Make to Deploy, Plan to Deliver, and Supply Chain topics.
  • Collaborate effectively with senior management and Ecolab's business solutions partners to align priorities and execute strategic plans.
  • Navigating high-visibility, high-stakes solution discussions while striving for excellence.
  • Facilitate alignment between business and IT through a supportive and consultative approach, driving the organization’s digital strategies while balancing innovation and stability.
  • Outline SAP Best Practices and essential system configurations for successful solution deployment, integrating SAP SCM/P2F tracks with cross-functional SAP solutions.
  • Assess business needs and challenges related to supply chain operations, translating these into technical requirements from an SAP to end-to-end solution perspective.
  • Drive resolution on critical design decisions, ensuring deliverables are completed within agile sprints and project phases.
  • Collaborate with Ecolab Business solution teams for template governance and ensure effective execution of SAP solutions delivery, facilitating technical assessments and solution design workshops.
  • Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and objectives, organizing and delivering services across a range of complex projects.
  • Develop and maintain S4 template documentation while steering solutions towards best practices and standard S4 functionalities.
  • Design solutions aimed at enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and optimizing manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain processes.
  • Engage with stakeholders to finalize acceptable solutions and convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, preparing high-level solution presentations tailored to various audiences, including senior management.
  • Exhibit leadership in solution design with a flexible approach, ensuring overall solution stability in operations while implementing continuous improvements and executing strategic projects.
  • Assist solution delivery leaders in resolving challenges and ensuring timely project delivery.
  • Support project leadership in formalizing and executing project close-out activities, including documenting lessons learned and inventorying project artifacts.
  • Drive significant new business capabilities through the identification and deployment of SAP functionalities that foster automation and innovation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in IT or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in solution design, technical, and/or configuration roles within SAP MM/WM, PP/QM, or PM modules.
  • Experience with other SAP modules integrated with SAP PP/MM/WM/IM, including Master Data, Finance, Sales and Distribution, and Business Intelligence.
  • Proven ability to join an existing project and collaborate to develop complex business solutions or troubleshoot and expedite deployment.
  • Capability to translate intricate business operations into SAP solutions and formulate a comprehensive master data governance and migration strategy.
  • Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with various leadership levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Teams, MS Excel (advanced formulas, charts, graphs, pivot tables), SharePoint, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP S/4 certifications are highly regarded.
  • Relevant experience in business domains such as Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Logistics is preferred.
  • Experience with full SAP implementations focusing on supply chain modules, ideally with at least two projects involving S/4 - V1909 and above.
  • Experience leading SAP workshops and cross-functional sessions to drive decision-making.
  • Ability to facilitate and guide cross-functional design workshops, capacity planning, and more.
  • Experience conducting FIT GAP Analysis between ECC and S4.
