About the Role:

As a CBRE HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of commercial HVAC systems by conducting proactive maintenance and repairs. This involves inspecting and maintaining building equipment, identifying and resolving equipment failures, and applying knowledge of standard principles and procedures to accomplish complex tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign tasks to team members and ensure timely completion of duties
  • Install, repair, adjust, service, and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems used for building heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment
  • Inspect and conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure accurate operation and compliance with applicable codes and regulations
  • Solve equipment failures and identify the best course of action for equipment modifications
  • Apply knowledge of standard principles and procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions
  • Mentor others and share knowledge of own subject area and broad knowledge of several job fields within the function
  • Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of experience
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and the ability to carry loads of 50 lbs or more
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Organizational skills with a sophisticated inquisitive mindset
  • Sophisticated math skills, including the ability to calculate figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations
