Job Summary

As a Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer at Jacobs, you will provide technical and application support for our engineering and design group. You will work with other team members to develop design criteria, define requirements for systems, and participate in the development of air flow schematics, duct and instrumentation diagrams, and general equipment arrangements.

You will have the opportunity to perform layout and design of HVAC systems for pharmaceutical and life sciences meeting standards for current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) applications and other process-related facilities.

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or other engineering degree) and 5+ years of Mechanical Engineering Experience. You should also have 5+ years of Mechanical HVAC design experience and experience with design of air handling systems (100% outside air, recirculating, exhaust systems, dust collection).

You will lead multiple mechanical and plumbing resources on larger capital projects and have knowledge of design codes and standards. You should also have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work on-site in a team environment co-located with the customer.

Ideally, you will also have computer-aided drafting experience, preferably with Revit, and a PE License or be interested in obtaining one. Knowledge of plumbing systems and experience with commissioning and qualification of Building Mechanical and Utility Systems are also preferred.
