Position Summary
Dispatchers play a crucial role in organizing delivery schedules, overseeing transportation activities, and maintaining communication with delivery personnel while ensuring timely distribution of products to clients and pharmacy staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to SOFIE's protocols regarding safety measures and the distribution of sensitive medical products.

• Assist in the preparation of products for shipment, including packaging and verification of items.

• Capability to lift items weighing up to 50lbs.

• Engage in frequent physical activities such as standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, and walking.

• Accurately complete necessary documentation, including DOT compliance and data entry, while emphasizing attention to detail.

• Monitor internal couriers during the delivery of medical doses.

• Evaluate external courier compliance with DOT regulations and SOFIE's operational standards.

• Maintain effective communication with external delivery service providers.

• Track delivery progress and provide timely updates to pharmacy staff regarding estimated arrival times.

• Ensure fleet vehicles are well-maintained, report any repairs needed, and submit monthly maintenance reports to management.

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with various departments including production, pharmacy, and logistics.

• Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to changes in delivery schedules, production demands, or unexpected situations.

• Follow up with drivers regarding delivery statuses.

• Assume delivery responsibilities if operational requirements dictate.

• Serve as a backup for the Courier Supervisor in their absence.

• Maintain accurate records including trip logs, late delivery reports, mileage, and maintenance documentation.

• Provide detailed reports of incidents, including personnel matters, accidents, and customer service issues, to management.

Qualifications

• Candidates must demonstrate safe and efficient driving capabilities.

• Proficiency in English and strong communication skills are essential.

• Ability to enforce security protocols effectively.

• Must successfully pass background checks and substance screening.

• Availability to work various shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

• 2-3 years of driving experience in the tri-state area is preferred.

• Clean driving record is required.

• Competence in accurately recording and reporting information.

• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure, with strong problem-solving and customer service skills.

• Basic knowledge of MS Office and proficiency in data entry and email communication.
