Overview
Dispatchers play a crucial role in organizing delivery routes, overseeing shipments, and maintaining communication with couriers to ensure timely delivery of products to clients and pharmacy staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to SOFIE's protocols regarding radiation safety and the distribution of radioactive medications to clients.

• Assist in the preparation of products for shipment, including packing, unpacking, and verifying canisters.

• Capability to lift weights up to 50lbs.

• Engage in frequent standing, lifting, grasping, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking activities.

• Accurately complete paperwork, including DOT forms and data entry, emphasizing the importance of precision and attention to detail.

• Monitor internal couriers during the delivery of doses.

• Evaluate external couriers' adherence to DOT regulations and SOFIE policies.

• Maintain effective communication with external courier services.

• Track delivery of doses to their destinations and provide timely ETA updates to pharmacy staff.

• Ensure proper maintenance of fleet vehicles, complete necessary repairs, and submit monthly reports to the Site Manager and Fleet & Logistics Manager.

• Collaborate and communicate (both verbally and in writing) with all departments: production, pharmacy, and logistics.

• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changes in schedules, routes, and other operational needs due to production changes, weather conditions, or staffing shortages.

• Follow up with drivers regarding their deliveries.

• May take on delivery responsibilities if operational needs arise.

• May serve as a backup to the Courier Supervisor when necessary.

• Maintain various reports, including monthly trip reports, weekly late dose reports, mileage, and maintenance records.

• Provide accurate and detailed incident reports (personnel, accidents, customer service issues) to the site manager.

Qualifications

• Candidates must demonstrate safe and efficient driving abilities.

• Proficiency in English and strong communication skills are required.

• Ability to adhere to and enforce all security protocols.

• Must successfully pass a background check and substance abuse screening.

• Availability to work various shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

• 2-3 years of driving experience in the tri-state area.

• Clean driving record.

• Ability to accurately record, transmit, and report information.

• Capacity to work calmly and effectively under pressure, with experience in problem-solving and strong customer service skills.

• Basic knowledge of MS Office, including the ability to write simple correspondence, perform data entry, and use email, as well as basic computer skills including MapQuest.

• Strong communication skills.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.

• Familiarity with shipping and handling regulations.

• Ability to navigate using GPS based on addresses.
